Alternative Fuels Response Considerations grew from the distinct lack of response knowledge concerning alternative fuels today. You will often find ethanol response courses, but although they represent a large quantity of what is in the system today, it only represents a fraction of the alternative energy and fuels we shall consider. This course immerses the participant in nearly all of the alternative fuels we encounter daily, and provides the awareness, strategy and tactics we need to manage and respond. Many are unrecognizable until we are faced with a crisis or incident.

In 2007, while researching the content of this course, our chosen host for the course experienced an explosion in the center of his town fatally injuring one person. The explosion occurred with a discharge of static electricity and involved an additive to ethanol fuels. This incident helped coin the phrase “Hope is not an action plan”.

Alternative Fuels Today

There are over 200 ethanol production facilities and over 3000 flex fuel stations across the nation.  Thousands of dangerous clandestine bio-diesel labs operate in neighborhoods, garages and backyards using toxins, corrosives and flammables to produce.

CNG vehicles are on the market today, along with dangerous un-certified systems available for purchase over the internet.  Our concerns grow each day and are too numerous to list.  Be Prepared.
