Kenneth C. Rost

Kenneth C. Rost, CHMP, ABCP, is President of Blue Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado and a veteran of over 27 years in the public safety, emergency management, and hazardous materials professions. Ken’s experience has taken him across North and South America and Asia into a wide variety of critical incidents including Hurricane Katrina, wildfires, aircraft disasters, and numerous hazardous materials incidents. His proactive planning has played a major role in a variety of critical safety and security issues including hazardous materials assessments, emergency response plan development, safety, and disaster planning. He was appointed by the Governor of Colorado to the Hazardous Materials Voluntary Certification Board, Operations Committee Chairman for the Regional Hazardous Materials Board of Arapahoe and Douglas County, and Emergency Operations Committee advisor to the Douglas County School District.  Ken has served as the Vice-President of the National Association of SARA III Program Officials and is one of the first to receive the Institute for Hazardous Materials Management’s certification as a Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner (CHMP).
